Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We are uncertain of what's out there that we are apprehensive at the beginning of a new year. It is not simply the issue of terrorism that causes our hearts to be troubled. There are also issues about the economy, environment, global warming, our health, family affairs ...... If you want to worry, there's to keep us busy..... But there is a better way .... hold on to Jesus promise. He spoke the word, We can have peace because of the power of Him who bestowed the great legacy on us. The other reason that we can have peace is that God, not fate or chance or evil, is in control. With this assurance we will walk into a peaceful new year filled with the goodness, grace and blessing of God. Happy New Year!

How true that if we choose to, we certainly have much we could worry about. I am a recovering worrier, though, and feel so much better when I choose trust. The peace He gives is such a gift!

I love this "hold on to Jesus promise. He spoke the word, We can have peace because of the power of Him who bestowed the great legacy on us." You are right, there is plenty to worry about right now. But worry means we dont trust God. Giving our worries and cares to God sets us free and kind of takes us off the hook!!

I love this scripture and the picture you paired with it. We have to look to Jesus for peace in a world that is filled with chaos. Happy New Year! May we all have peace everlasting - no matter what the situation looks like.
