My Children's Wedding (Part 3)

This post will be about the 3rd wedding in our family. The wedding of my third child, Mayette.

Mayette's wedding was held at Grand Caprice Restaurant and Convention Center here in Cagayam de Oro city. The ceremony started at 4:00 pm and finished on time of dinner. It was a wedding that was well prepared and planned as they almost had a year of preparation for it. The visitors were in awe of all the presentations and the details placed from the start of the ceremony until it was finished. The best part of the ceremony was before the entrance of the bride where some ladies were dancing while bubbles appeared....It was really an inspiring event so the visitors enjoyed watching it.

It was indeed a very successful and beautiful wedding which even my daughter, Mayette testified that she and her Huby just cried with joy of everything that took place on that day. And they gave all the glory to God who was there at the wedding.

Now, Mayette and Manny happily married for 9 years with a son and a daughter. We are always giving thanks to the Lord for their lives.

wfw - Becoming a Christian

John 3:16 "God ..gave His one and only Son."

Many people consider themselves Christian in a cultural contest, but there is a deep relationship that Jesus Christ made possible whereby you can have a personal encounter with God and know you belong to Him.

To become a Christian you must believe that Christ, God's son died in your place to pay the penalty of death for sin, which you earned and cannot pay..(Roman 6:23). It is not a matter of joining a church or doing this or that. It is accepting the fact that Christ became sin for you -- in a real and personal manner.

This was the 3rd year birthday celebration of Zboy, the son of my daughter, Mayette last October 25, 2007, which was held in Thailand, the place of residence of Love's family my youngest daughter. You see , we were in Thailand at that time for Lyle's birth (son of Love) . It was a costume party, so he was wearing a superman suit while Tricia, in a wonder woman suit. Tricia, for the first time she had worn that costume liked it so much that from then on she wore it always until she had overgrown the suit... Yes, we brought her costume from the Philippines thinking we might not find it in Thailand but to our amazement it was displayed in one of their malls with a cheaper price. lol!

wfw - Light of the World

John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Many know that God is there but don't know how to connect with Him. The connection of God is called faith, and faith is something you put or place in someone, not something you "work up". It is believing that the promise of God's Word have your name attached to them, that this marvelous God who sent His Son into our world knows your name, cares about you, and will respond to your heart cry.

A.W. Tozer, in his book "The Pursuit of God", wrote, "When we lift our inward eyes to gaze upon God we are sure to meet friendly eyes gazing back at us, for it is written that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout all the earth."

My Children's Wedding (Part 2)

This post will be about the 2nd wedding in our family. The wedding of my eldest and only son, Jinggoy.

The venue of Jinggoy,s wedding was at the grounds of Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village. The wedding ceremony started very early in the morning and it finished just in time for Sunrise. As expected, only close friends and close relatives were able to attend since the venue is a far distance from the city proper and there are no public transportation is available to go to the site. Those who attended either had their own vehicle or just hired a taxi very early in the morning. It was then we concluded that those who attended were really that close to the family and very sincere to witness the wedding ceremony since it takes a bit of sacrifice to wake up so early and go to the venue.

On the other hand, our family, Jeaneth's family (wife of Jinggoy), the members of the entourage and few of our relatives and friends stayed overnight in each in the of the cottages of Eco-Village. Indeed, it was a successful affair because everyone enjoyed the place.

Now Jinggoy and Jeaneth have 2 beautiful daughters ages 9 and 3. They are happily working and settled in Vietnam now.

This butter cake was given by my niece during the birthday of Zane, the daughter of Mayette. It looks like an ordinary butter cake but when they tasted, it was very yummy because my niece baked it with fresh milk and fresh butter as one of the ingredients.

wfw- How do your shoes fit?

Hebrews 12:13 "And make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed."

Having feet that are ready to share the Good News simply means you are ready for whatever opportunity presents. You are ready to face your enemy without limping or dragging. Which direction are your feet headed? When one points one direction and the other in the opposite direction, you have a split vote, which means you go nowhere. When you decide to serve God, you get your feet moving to His direction and make level paths for your feet.

My Children's Wedding (part 1)

This will be the first part of my series of post about the weddings of my children. Much as I want to post more than 1 picture but sad to say that all our photo albums were lost when we experienced the flood last year.

But I praise God that my son in law (hubby of Beam) was able to store some pictures in his laptop. He actually saved those old photos because he was supposed to make something as a surprised gift for Beam but because of the flood it did not push through. Some of the old pictures he uploaded were used during their surprised birthday celebration for me.
Well, as you can see on the photo above it was Beam who got married first among my children and at early age. Her early marriage was a surprised to our family and close friends as it was least expected for her to get married fast as she was quite reserved and didn't entertain any suitors. (Please read my post,My Children Chapter 2. 6/19/09).

Beam's wedding was held at Praise Garden Resort at Balulang, (now our residence) to accommodate huge visitors as expected being the first wedding of our family. The officiating minister was the spiritual director of Jesus is Lord Church, Bro. Eddie Villanueva and so most of the pastors in Northern Mindanao Churches were present and so with some of the leaders. It was a garden wedding but the atmosphere was like a barrio fiesta.

Now they are happily married with 3 children, the eldest is attending his first year in secondary while the second the only girl is in grade 4 and the youngest is in grade 2. They are all studying in one of the Christian Schools here in our place.
