My Guardian Angel

A few days after the burial of my late husband sometime in July 2004, I travelled with Love (my daughter) to Thailand, to ease my feeling of loneliness. My daughter together with his family has been living in Thailand for many years now. It was my second time to be in that country. I thank God that my travel has somehow helped me grieved for my loss and at the same time encouraged me to go on with my life.

I was very confident during the travel because I was with my daughter but in going back to the Philippines, I had to go alone because Love had to stay with her family in Thailand. It was my first time to travel all by myself. I felt very uncomfortable and I just depend on God’s presence and protection during that travel.

Since my ticket had a connecting flight from Penang to Kuala Lumpur, Love's family accompanied me by car until Penang only. After Penang, I will be on my own. I had to board a domestic airline from Penang International Airport to Kuala Lumpur International Airport then to the Philippines. While inside the car, I had mixed feelings of anxieties, apprehensions and tensions. Imagine, for the first time I have to travel alone, considering my age, in a foreign country and a huge airport which is considered as one of the biggest airport in Asia. But anyway, my family, Jesu's family and my friends prayed for me, even the pastor of Jesu (my son in-law) in Penang prayed for me at the airport before my boarding time. Truly! Prayers change everything. I was so calm boarding the plane with a little bit heavier luggage which I had to hand carry for having exceeded the check in limits.

When my domestic plane landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, I asked help from one of my seat mate to get my luggage at the compartment. He was a not so friendly young guy but he helped me anyway. I rushed right away to go inside the airport and remembered the instructions of Jesu and Love which is to look for blue uniformed airport employees so that I can ask which way to go and also to always follow the arrows of my flight number which I did. After an inspection with the Immigration Officer, I noticed I was left alone. Everyone went on their own way, and there I saw my flight arrow. Just as I was about to go up the escalator, I saw the young man who helped me in my domestic flight who was also alone and about to ride in the elevator. I ran after him and asked him to assist me to look for my boarding area. Thank God! He gladly helped me and told me where I was bound for. That was it, we went together from one place to another, and I was observing always my flight arrow until we stopped in a certain floor level and told me we had to part ways because that floor level was the location of his boarding area and that it was almost time for check in for his flight. By the way, his travel destination is at Korea. I looked at where he go, but it happened to fast that he just disappeared just a split of a second. But anyways, he instructed me which way to go and told me that a train will be available going to my boarding area. Oh! I started to be nervous because I was thinking I was not yet halfway to reach my boarding area. When I arrived at the designated place, I was expecting for a train but there was none. All I saw was a big closed area and there were lots of people standing by. Fear engulfed me, it seems I was lost. I prayed "Please God helped me." After a few minutes, an area opened and a train stopped right in front of us, and all the people there boarded. “Thank God!” I muttered.

When the train stopped at the designated area, I had a long way again to go up and down either from the escalator and walkcalator just following my flight arrows... At last! I arrived in my departure area for the Philippines. But somehow I have to verify to make sure that I’m on the right track. Thanks to an American guy who's married to a Filipina from Cebu who had the same flight with me. I felt secured at that moment.

Anyways, I arrived at Cebu and boarded a vessel bound for Cagayan de Oro. I felt relaxed and just wondered how I survived in that great ordeal.

Yes! God answered my prayers. I believed the man who was my guide to and fro at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport was my guardian angel. How about you? What do you think?

My Generous Niece

Vicky is one of my closest niece. She is frank and sometimes easily get irritated but deep inside she has a kind, compassionate and generous heart. I feel so blessed because I know she cares for me and so concerned in our family.

Now that we are residing along the river, during rainy days when she passed by Carmen bridge she never fails to check the water level of the riverbank. If the level of the water is quite high she calls me up from time to time to know the situation.

When we experience the flood last January this year, I immediately remember to call her up to inform her of what happened. Sure enough, she came to the rescue. She even contacted some of our relatives that they came also bringing stuff for our needs.

Not only that, she let us stay in their vacant house for free not considering the electric power,(aircons) water and etc. Imagined we stayed in that house for more than a month not paying anything because she does not want us to spend a single centavo. Praise God! cause at that time they just transferred to another house. She told me its God's plan for us to stay there.

I am blessed of her and her family status in life. I know God is blessing her family tremendously because of her generosity. God said in His word (Luke 6:38) "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

My family have so much gratitude for her and Alex her husband which will always be in our hearts. What we can give them in return is our prayers. That God continually bless them not only in financial aspects but in all areas in their lives.

Truly, she is blessed to be a blessing to other people.

JINGGOY'S FAMILY IS COMING!

I had a chat with Jinggoy and he told me that they will definitely be here in Cagayan de Oro on July 21, 2009. Praise God! that day is his 41st birthday.

Time passed so much that he is that old already. Its funny because I always called Renzee my eldest grandson as Jinggoy. It seems in my memory Jinggoy did not grow up or is it because of my old age? lol!

Well, I am looking forward on their arrival.. I can't wait to see Thea and Rinnah who is a year older now. Of course, I always see them on the webcam but its really different when you can hug and kiss them.

Its still 3 months to go but I am already excited. I feel so happy thinking about it.

Truly, God is so wonderful. He grants my desire to be able to see my children and grandchildrenfrom time to time.

Check Out from the Hospital

My daughter, Beam just arrived now from Polymedic Hospital with Rehum, my grandson who was confined for 3 days. Praise God for healing him and back to his normal health condition again.

He was admitted last Thursday for acute bronchitis. The next day was Friday and I was the one who took care of him in the hospital because Beam can not apply for a leave in her work and her husband is still in Manila. Anyways it was my great pleasure to do it. It is one way of showing to him that I care and love him deeply.

Rehum is a good boy and very thoughtful one. I am blessed of his attitude and he touched my life... Imagine, every time I did something for him in the hospital he will always say, "thank you Granny". Is it not refreshing for a 7 years old (this coming July) grandson acknowledging his gratitude to you?

I thank God for giving me a grandson like him.

NOTHING TO DO

Oh my! I can not open the programs of Mozilla and Internet Explorer in my computer. It's good I was able to chat with Love at the Yahoo Messenger.

I believe Zboy my grandson had click some programs that affects the Mozilla and Internet Explorer. Zboy will be 5 years old this coming October 2009 and he knows how to open some games so I was confident for him to play alone in the computer.

My CPU is now at Tonypet's office so he can check the problem. I hope he can fix it soon so I can surf the internet and visit facebook, friendster and of course blogs. As I've mentioned in my former post that this is my past time already. Now I prefer to read, play games in the computer rather than watching TV.

Tonypet is the hubby of Bogie my great niece, the daughter of my niece, Judy but they are very close to me like a real grandchildren. I am blessed of this couple because they are serving the LORD wholeheartedly. I love them that I always pray for them that God will meet the desires of their heart.

Vacation is Over

I just came from the airport to send off the family of Love. For me I hate to see my love ones go. so I prefer to stay home because I am emotional. But today, I was convinced by Mayette my other daughter to go with them so that I will have a few hours to be with them.

I am very sad at this moment, I don't feel well, it still lingers in my memories Lyle running in the lanai, his unending waving to us in the airport. It makes me cry. For Tricia I can still hear voice asking me. "Granny, can I watched cartoons or Granny can I play games in the computer?" Oh... its painful.. But that's it... we are not in control of everything. God has plans for all of us.

So, here I am, I have decided to do something to forget my loneliness. I believe God will protect them in their travel and put everything in order.

And wait for their coming again for the next two years.

My Blogging

I spent my vacant time reading the blogs of Love, my daughter and to her blog rolls. But never came into my mind to create one for myself. I just enjoy reading it for me to be updated of her various activities in life, being far from each other.

Until these few days mayette, my other daughter was encouraged to try it herself inspired by the earnings of Love from it. So, Love taught her the pointers, with me the one taking notes. So, that's it. I was also convinced to create one.

But before Love arrived here in the Philippines, it was already her plans to teach me how to earn money from the internet through clicking only advertisement. I was excited on this system cause I wont have a hard time thinking what and how to write something. I can not imagine myself doing writing, unlike my 2 sisters who were good in writing which I presumed Love got her talents from them.

Well, you know what? Love never have a time to teach me then, she was very busy taking care of Lyle, her career (blogging), much more the flood came, my computer broke down and we lived for more than a month at my niece house while our house in Balulang was undergoing repairs.

And now, I am here joining the world of blogging. I need your consideration for being a neophyte in this area. LOL! God bless.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG.
